The first Strollers today since the covid-19 lockdown started. We are just taking a small group each time to make sure social distancing is observed. We hope to run one again next Friday, Bob is contacting members to see if there is any interest. The stroll normally takes about 1hour. Finishing at Poppies in normal times, but for the time being we all brought a flask of coffee and a snack each and enjoyed our stroll together.

The May Stroll

The Strollers met this morning, just as our Group started to gather there was a sudden sharp shower, but by the time we had walked past the Black Truffle, thankfully it had stopped. We continued on along the seafront and down the steps onto the lower prom, following the shore line to the second set of steps which we climbed, (some of us better than others). Then it was onwards and upwards to Tonia’s to what we do best, refreshments and a chat. The refreshments over, we walked back to Seaham for lunch (only kidding about the lunch).

The photographs were taken on the stroll.

We meet on the third Friday of the month at 10.30am at Seaham Harbour Cenotaph for a short stroll. Usually this is followed up with refreshments and a chat in one of our local coffee shops.
