I’m writing to you regarding volunteer role that we’re currently recruiting for and which believe would be very rewarding for members of your organisation.
To give you a brief overview of what we do and what the role entails,
Make-A-Wish UK grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. Since 1986, Make-A-Wish has turned the wishes of more than 12,000 seriously ill children into realities – creating memories to treasure forever, whatever the future may hold.
We are looking for friendly and reliable volunteers who have great listening skills and experience of working with families and children. You’ll be visiting children who have been referred to us, at a time that suits them – and helping them to unlock their wildest imagination to discover their One True Wish.
The full role profile can be viewed here https://make-a-wish.org.uk/support-us/volunteer/opportunities/wish-visitor-0
We would love to let the members of your association know about this role. Would you be able to publish it on your website/social media or email it in a newsletter? Any publicity would be much appreciated.
We’ll be recruiting in certain areas and your U3A covers one of them – full list of postcodes is available in the role profile at the link above.
Please let me know if you’re able to spread the word about it. Your support will be much appreciated.
