Leader: Mabel Hepplewhite

One of the first groups set up by Seaham Harbour U3A and now has a membership of 22, who sing just for fun, there’s no audition or necessity to be able to read music.

Members meet for a couple of hours on the fourth Friday of the month from 2pm in Seaton Village Hall.

Songs from popular shows, feel good golden oldies (including numbers made famous by Petula Clark and Doris Day to mention just a couple) plus some more challenging vocal arrangements are on the programme, with gentle direction and encouragement when needed.

Time for a chat while lubricating the vocal chords is also on the agenda.

New members are always welcome so come along and give it a go – even if you think you can’t sing – the more people there are in the group the less any one person is likely to be heard.
