Our walk started from the Elemore Golf Club and was led by Pat and Fred Finch who showed the way to Pig Hill, on the journey we admired a most magnificent display of cowslips then on into Pig Hill Wood an SSSI designated area. A descent, then a short ascent heart racing at the top. Bluebells in abundance added to the scenery of a truly beautiful woodland area.

A little further on we came across some unusual wooden sculptures fortunately the phone didn’t ring. We made our way towards Elemore Hall birthplace of Anne Isabella Milbanke (Lord Byron’s Wife.) it is now a special school. Continuing onwards towards the main road we passed the Paint Ball compound and proceeded to the Golf club for refreshments.

A really lovely walk enjoyed by all. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
