LATEST SEAHAM U3A RED HATTERS EVENING OUT

The last event in the Red Hatters calendar was a trip on “The Curry” train on Friday 10th October.  What an evening we all had it started in Newcastle Central Station where we were met by Abbi a staff member of the Valley Restaurant in Corbridge.

Abbi was a fantastic host and he escorted us onto the train which was taking us to the restaurant.  He kept everyone well informed of what was happening when we got to the restaurant and had everyone laughing with his Indian Geordie accent. When we arrived at the restaurant we had drinks in the bar for 10 minutes then were taken to our tables.

Twenty six Red Hatters looked amazing in their red hats and purple attire and other diners looked on in awe.  The meal was sumptuous and every credit to the chef and also the waiters who attended to us all evening.  At 10:25 Abbi escorted us to the station platform to take the train back to Newcastle.  He did everyone proud by donning his turban and Indian dress and had his photograph taken with the group. What a brilliant night it was as you can see from the photos to prove what a wonderful time we all had.

If you are not already a member of our Red Hatters group then why not come and talk to the team about ideas for our 2015 events.
